I am looking everywhere!  Trying to decide what will be better, place where I have to bring in the caterer or one that I don't but is more pp.  Checking out Five Bridge Inn and Regatta Place this weekend.

wow i2012 do - I just came across this list and you did look at a lot of places! you should be a wedding coordinator! we looked at some of those too - we really like the viking but it was out of our range and i couldn't ask our guests to pay 440$ for a hotel room in september. how did you feel about kirkbrae? we looked there too...glen manor was nice, but i didnt like all the different rooms! i never heard back from biltmore, after many calls and wish i did b.c i would have at least liked to see it. linden we loved too, but couldnt see spending so much for site fees. LOVED dunes club - we went to a wedding there last year and was by far and away our fave until we learned the strict rules :(

Regatta place is so pretty, but pretty pricey! I went to a wedding there on the dock with a tent - it was really pretty!

I can say you will save money pp with a venue you bring your own caterer - but it is a little more planning and work on the brides part! But I think food from a caterer (over a country club or other like venue) is generally better tasting. I have proposals from the following caterers:

    Cozy Caterers
    Decadent Catering
    Blackstone
    Emerys
    West Bay Gourmet
    Toms Market

If you decide to go that route (with a caterer) let me know what kind of budget/food you like and I can tell you which is probably the best fit!
