Bridal shower Gifts

HI ladies.

so my bridal shower is in April but I already got a gift sent to the house last night. It was from my fiances cousin who wrote in a note that she is looking forward to seeing me at the shower. My question is should i sent a thank you card now or wait until after the shower?

    I think etiquette says to send the TY now so she knows her gift was received.  Maybe send another after the shower, too?  To thank her for attending?  Tough one. 

    I addressed the TY card envelopes weeks before the shower, which helped cut down on time.

    I always send a thank you as soon as I receive the gift. If I wait too long I would probably forget. =)
