HELP! Budget Wedding in Rhode Island

Hi Everyone,
I am from PA and recently got engaged. My family is from RI so I plan on having the wedding there. Does anyone have any suggestions of venues? We would LOVE to have it near the water, but I dont care what type of body of water it is:-) Suggestions welcome!

All the best,
Jenn

• where abouts are you wanting to have it?

• Have you thought about India Point Park in Providence? It can be a bit industrial, but if you like the kind of artsy mix between city and nature (like I do), it's pretty cool. And it is on the water, just very different to a beach.
• Eastons Beach Rotunda is reasonably priced for the RI cost.

Also I am getting married August 3, 2013 on an amazing farm in Hopkinton, there is no ocean but they do have a big lake and a bunch of small pools around the property- its called Solitude Springs . www.solitudesprings.com - I found the pricing very reasonable.

How many people will you have? the Narrgansett Towers hold about 120 I think, its very pretty there.
• Rhode Island Country Club in Barrington, RI has a view of the Narragansett Bay and I found it to be reasonable versus their competitors with a nice view. www.ricc.org
Wedding Countdown Ticker
• How many people are you expecting since this is very important when determining a venue?
• Hi everyone! Wow thank you for your recommendations..here are our must haves

Holds about 130 people
20-25k budget
Water view preferred
ceremony and reception in the same place.

Any ideas?:-)

The Roger Williams Botanical Garden and the Casino are both available to rent for weddings and there is a gazebo and the Temple to Music that are right on the pond for ceremonies. I'm not sure what the capacity or pricing is as you have to call (which I plan to do this afternoon). Here is the website for the casino http://www.providenceri.gov/parks-and-rec/casino

• There are lots of options that fit that bill! Check thse out...
Warwick Country Club - on the bay has a buge deck with great sunset views
Waterman Grille - Providence
Eastons Beach Rotunda - Newport
The Squantum Club
Herreshoff Marine Museum
• One of my nieces got married at the Goddard Park carousel building. It was a nice location, you could see the beach from it and it was really reasonably priced. You need to get your own caterer for there and they do not allow any alcohol, though. She actually chose them for that reason, so she didn't have to "be the bad guy" and tell everyone SHE didn't want drinking at her wedding. ;)
