Could you be a little bit more specific for what type of suggestions you'd like? Church? Hall? Hotel? Restaurant? I live in Newport so I need a place to start lol ;-)

Well we would like to eloppe late Oct or early Nov of this year. It will be cooler out so I dont know if it will be too cold for the beach but we would like somewhere near the water. Not in a church. More of a quick ceremony with a JOP. Our parents and siblings will be present and we would like to go celebrate afterwards with dinner and cocktails :)  I would also want to stay a night or 2 in Newport..

Not sure of your budget. But hte Chandler sounds perfect for this sort of thing. Or Oceancliff. There is a hotel there and you can likely elope outside at their arbor then ahve dinner at hte Safari room.

The Chandler or OceanCliff are absolutely lovely! They're both literally right on the water. But, if you're on any sort of a budget, they are on the pricier side.
The Hyatt on Goat Island has the little plot of land with a lighthouse where they hold ceremonies and there's obviously rooms there. If you're looking for a boat, there are tons, but I'd recommend either The Flyer (sail) or The Majestic (power). The Flyer you'd want to do ASAP though as it's mostly outdoors. The Majestic is inside so November should be ok as long as they're still running then. It also docks literally downtown, so you'd have a plethra of options for restaurants/bars. The Atlantic Beach Club also has a little pavilion overlooking First Beach that's really nice, and there's hotels and B&Bs right across the street. The restaurant and bar are really good at Atlantic Beach Club.
One thing to keep in mind - the later in the year, the less expensive Newport is. Also, if you do something other than a Saturday it's generally cheaper. If you want more ideas and/or contact info, I find this website very helpful: www.gonewport.com. There's a wedding link somewhere on there with a links to pretty much everything you'll need. If you need more advice, we are here for you!

I also live in Newport and The Vanderbilt Grace Hotel is my personal fav:

The service is among the best I have ever seen and it is right downtown with a beautiful roofdeck overlooking the wharfs.  If I was getting married locally and having a small intimate wedding, I would go here without question.

If you are looking for direct oceanfront, check out dberretts suggestions which are also great spots.

    Good luck!
