Florists

Hi,

I am starting to look into florists and wanted to see if people had vendors I should reach out to for quotes. I have a tighter budget but am picky.

Thanks!

Florals by Alisa is by far  one of the most popular budget friendly florist on here.  Their work is pretty amazing although I wish they would update some of their work on the site. I've also heard good things about Golden Gate and the Flower Girls. Vine and Vessel is also great. Toni Chandler  Flowers has been known to work within most budgets although I think she is more high end on the scale.

We're using Green Lion florist which specializes in organics and succulents.  Organics can be more expensive, but of similar styled florists Green Lion was the most reasonable.

I have a rather tight budget myself and I am using Studio 539 (Christina). I didn't even tell her my budget, and she came in right where I wanted to be!  You can see more pics on her blog and Facebook.

If you want the most bang for your buck... try a grocery store florist.  I got quotes from Jay from Golden Gate and from my local whole foods florist.  Jay quoted me about $1,200 and whole foods is $450.  Needless to say I went with Whole foods!  The flowers come from the same wholesaler so why pay more in markup?

I am using Toni Chandler and she was right under my budget which is pretty tight. She drew up a rough draft of flowers and cost and I slashed here and there until I met my budget.  She is great.

If you are going to use a grocery store stay away from Clements Market in Portsmouth.  Terry is extremely rude and unprofessional. I met with her in February and she treated me so poorly I went elsewhere.

    Good luck!

We used Florals by Alisa at the Casino last October.  They were GREAT to work with.  We got so much for what we paid.  Their ideas were awesome.  The flowers were absolutely gorgeous, I wanted to take them all home with me!  (Well, I did!)
