I'On is a really expensive neighborhood/subdivision in Mount Pleasant by Charleston if that's the one you're referring to... I'm sure there are bunches of more budget friendly options in the area :)  Are you aiming for outside, inside, what time of year?  Are you set on the Charleston area or willing to look in other parts as well? :)

Edit: I checked out their site, they are beautiful, but for the date you have on your profile (Friday Aug 1?) you're looking at 2K. I think that includes the catering but don't know about what decorations and extra fees and all that.  You've got lots of time to do lots of digging though! :)  Good luck!

I went to a wedding at the Courtyard by Marriott Greenville Downtown that was beautiful. It is an outdoor space that makes a very romantic tent wedding. Check some pics at their website: http://www.marriottcourtyardgreenville.com/. We stayed at the Hampton Inn & Suties Greenville RiverPlace Downtown (http;//www.hamptoninnandsuitesgreenville.com/). The hotel was walking distance from the venue and both were by the river. Loved it!

if youre really interested in planning a budget friendly wedding, you should check into any of the state/county parks. http://www.southcarolinaparks.com/ heres the link. a lot of the parks offer very pretty venues for under $1,000.  One of my friends was married in  April of 2010 at the Cypress Building at Wannamaker county park in the Summerville/North Charleston Area.  There is a really pretty, large, green lawn that extends out behind the building which would be perfect for an outdoor ceremony and then a large bulding for the receptio.  The reception building as a large catering kitchen, nice bathrooms, a place for the bridal party to change and really high ceilngs that make the whole place feel open and big. good luck!

I am getting married at the Davenport in Greer. Reception to follow, good price!

Is this a venue budget or a total wedding budget?

The Davenport in Greer is a great option.  The Bleckley Inn in Anderson is beautiful, but also $5,000 just to rent.  Consider something like The Wilhite House in Anderson.  There's also a barn in Clemson where we're getting married.  It's called Sleepy Hollow and for us to rent it for a whole day is $1600 and includes tables and chairs.

Courtyard by Marriott Greenville Downtown is really nice and priced well.  Only problem is that Marriott IS corporate so you'll have some difficulty negotiating I think.
