Columbia and Charleston ceremony and reception

I'm from Columbia, SC, but I reside in Charleston. I'm wanting to get married on friday, Oct 21, 2011, but I am having a difficult time finding any venues in a resonable price range. To be honest the cheaper the better. I'm not sure to go with an all inclusive package or have it separate. To be honest I just want to have my dad walk me down the aisle and to marry my soul mate. Of course every girl has big dreams, I just want some decent. PLEASE any help and suggestions are so much very welcomed!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you looked at places like Wintergreen Woods or places like that in Lexington?
We're in the same boat - live in Charleston, getting married in Columbia -- I'm getting married at the Officer's Club on Fort Jackson thanks to my grandpa being an retired officer... $1000 for both ceremony & reception space for 6 hours.
IF you have military connection, check out them or the NCO club.

oh wow thanks, we did check that out, but philipps friends got married there so he didn't want to be the same. I couldn't belived he actually cared. His grandpa was in the service so I'll check on that. Thank you! Its just been so stressful because oct is coming up and I don't have a venue yet

  • Are you getting married in Columbia or Charleston?

In Columbia, I’ve been to a wedding at the Hilton Columbia (http://www.hiltoncolumbia.com/) that was beautiful! The bride also blocked rooms there and at the Hampton Inn Columbia Historic District (http://www.hamptoninncolumbia.com/) for a more affordable option. I stayed at the Hampton Inn and it was great! It is located just a block or so from the Hilton.
