Online Ordination???

Question: I am getting married in Novemeber. My future mil is ordained online through universal life church in Michigan. Is she legally able to marry us in Charleston, SC?

    I just went thru this with OUR wedding coordinator. The answer is yes. As long as she is officially ordained in a church of some sort as a minister/priest/whatever. SC does not accept the "ordained for a day" type. However you can be married by a Notary Public. So it might help just to be sure, to have her be a notary.
