Has anyone heard of this?
My fiance and I love the idea!
Basically, instead of a candle or sand, people take a stone from the guestbook table and hold it during the ceremony. The pastor will ask for them to have a moment of silence and for them to make a wish, blessing, or prayer for the couple. The whole ceremony wll have a stone in their hand - including fiance and I, and bridal party.
Then, people will put the stones back in the bowl or plate (kindof like an offering plate) and we will keep all of those as our blessings on the mantel in our house.
Thoughts? Have you seen this done before?
