Dress patterns

Whew. Please help.

I'm a bridesmaid for my friend and she has decided to have her mother's friend make the bridesmaids' dresses. She told me i should look for patterns. I don't sew! Where does one find dress patterns, or more importantly, BM dress patterns?!?

    Joann or Hancock Fabrics. Any dress can be a BM dress, so don't search for BM dresses. My mom made my prom dress, so its possible to find patterns for anything. You can also search online at Butterick patterns to see if you find something you like. Bear in mind that most of the pictures on the pattern packages are really cheesy applications of the patterns, and are sometimes stuck in the 70s. You have to have some imagination and focus more on the construction of the dress than the fabrics they use on the pattern package.
