HEB for flowers/cake???

My first post on The Knot!! 

I am getting married in September, and we are trying to go as budget-friendly as possible. I've heard good things about HEB's wedding cakes and flowers, and was wondering if anyone here has had any experience with either of those?

    We're using Donna Foster with Central Market (owned by HEB).  I've also seen good reviews about the floral department at the HEB Plus.  I can't say much about the wedding cake at HEB, but I ordered a German chocolate cake for my FI's birthday and it was delicious! I'd say ask them to do a tasting for you and see how it goes.

    And since you said you're trying to be budget friendly . . . I didn't want to spend an arm & leg on cake either so we're doing cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes in Cedar Park instead of traditional bridal cake.  Our wedding coordinator also suggested Lone Star Bakery in Round Rock as a delicious and cost friendly alternative.
