Reception Suggestions Please

Good Afternoon OKC Knotties!!  I am in need of suggestions for reception venues in the OKC area.  I currently live in Houston and my FI in Chicago but we decided to get married in my hometown.  Our wedding is 8-3-13 and we are planning for around 120 guests.  Since we are paying for the wedding ourselves, we are trying to keep costs under 8K for everything.  Any suggestions will gladly be appreciated.Smile

  • You might check the thread a bit further down, it has a few ideas - under Affordable OKC Venues.

  • We are getting married at Creekside Chapel in Edmond.  I think the venue is beautiful and most things are included in the prices (DJ, minister, catering, table linens, cakes, centerpieces).  We have 100 people, plus we added bartender and alcohol.  Our total was about $5,500.  I know it seems pricey, but it's really worth not having to stress about vendors.  You get to go in and pick the linen colors, the napkins, you have a choice for centerpieces and they do the set up/clean up.

Additionally we had to pay for flowers, dress, favors, guest book, photographer, etc.  You might be able to do it all for under 8K.  You can view their website.  It lists their packages and prices.  Plus they a have a new video uploaded that shows their renovations.

    Congrats!

  • A friend told me that Remington park is actually very reasonable. We've already picked our venue so I didn't actually go look around there. You might check out their website.
