Insurance?

Ok ladies I need some help. FI is a reservist in the Marines. He is graduating college in May and has completed OCS so he is up for his commission.

He absolutely has to get some dental work done, ASAP. We don't have the paperwork for his commission filled out yet b/c of this, and we wanted to get him commissioned before the wedding so his family can be at both the wedding and his commission (they live on the east coast, we're on the west).

So it seems places won't take his current insurance so we were looking into getting it through the military. FI says that even if he does, they won't cover his dental work because it is a pre-exisiting condition.

Anyone know anything about this?

    My H graduated/commissioned through an ROTC program at our college. That said, with his Army contract he did get partial Tricare coverage (he was also dual enlisted with the ARNG). Can your FI go talk to some of the officers to find out if Tricare will cover him? Oh, and I was told by H's Col. that Tricare will cover preexisting conditions (i really hope that's correct).

    Tricare does cover pre-existing conditions. And, it's only a pre-existing condition if you had a lapse in health insurance. If he is continuously covered, they can't say it was a pre-existing.
