Need Help - Montpelier Area Venue

So, I have been MIA on the messageboard, I'm sorry, my new job has really dominated my life (I still want to do a get-together).  So, I'm in a bit of a pickle, we have to change our reception venue due to various issues.  We are having the ceremony in Northfield and want to have the reception somewhat close to that area.  OUr options are basically Montpelier, Middlesex, Middlebury, Waterbury.  The Capitol Plaza is booked for our day, and we are expecting between 120 and 150 guests. Any suggestions for venues?

Have you checked with Norwich University?  I've known several people to get married and have receptions there that were not students.

Other options -

Barre - Elks Club, Canadian Club, Country Club(?)

Montpelier - They have 2 VFW halls, Country Club,

Waterbury - American Legion

I know these aren't "Capital Plaza - hotel style" (except for the Country Clubs) but they do offer catering in most instances.  The Elks Club & Canadian Club in Barre are very popular for weddings, as is the American Legion in Waterbury.
