Fiance and I are being super indecisive and we need to make a choice on our officiant. Hopefully knotties can help with ideas or a general push!
We're not religious. We want a short ceremony with 2 readings, fairly traditional vows and overall structure. No sermon, prayers, or speeches.
We considered friends and family, but no one feels right -- we're not close to anyone in particular, or people just don't seem right (not great speakers, for example).
We could hire someone, but I've heard multiple negative stories about a hired officiant taking liberties with the ceremony. I don't want it to go awry.
Recommendations? Advice? We only have 2+ months to go! Ahhhhhh!
