Its been a crazy couple weeks. I've been around lurking, when I had a few moments.
Firstly, I wanted to thank you ladies for the good lucks on looking for a new job, even though some were sarcastic. Its been interesting.
I was presented with 8 job offers. One crazy weird offer was actually from the Law firm, I walked out of it. Yep the one with bad boss. Someone head hunted me from the firm and offered me my exact position back. They house cleaned and built a new team. I declined the position.
In the end, I took a position at a local company (I prefer small local companies over large corporate ones) It is in Information management department. The pay is 8/hr more than my last job so that's pretty great. I get benefits, profit sharing, 3 weeks vacation and an additional week off at xmas.
Out of all the positions, I decided this one will give me the best options of moving up, they aren't actually really small, they have 150 employees with offices here, Vancouver bc and Scottsdale AZ, they are locally owned though. Also out of all the companies they made me feel really welcome when I came in to talk to them, way more than any other company. She also expressed on our first phone conversion, to please not accept anything else until I came in and talked to her.
Other than that, I spent 2 weeks with my niece as a favor to my sister. The first week my sister went back to work from her mat leave, my niece got really sick. I spent 3 days in the hospital with her while they were at work and spent the following week with her at home while she got better.
Other wise we go on vacation in June
We are going to Seattle and staying dt by pike place, any restaurant recommendations are welcome.
Our anniversary is tomorrow, BF planned it all, shall be interesting.
Im sick, I have some crazy inner ear infection that we've been trying to clear up for 5 weeks, the doctors said it has 15 more days to clear up or I have to go to a specialist and get tubes put in my ears.
