Good morning!

Morning ladies!  I just practically witnessed the death of a cat right outside my office, so I'm writing this post to take my mind off of it.

What's everyone got going on today?  Anything worth sharing?  Here's what I've got:

1.  I'm spending the morning at work going through our security tapes and burning discs with the footage showing my boss's various infractions.  Then, tomorrow, I'm meeting up with our supervisor to drop off the discs.  With any luck, my boss will be fired within a week.

2.  Did everyone know that DSW gives you a chance to win a $50 gift card every Tuesday?  See their FB page for more details, if you didn't.  Anyway, I was one of the winners last week, and my gift card came in yesterday.  I used it to order these:


 

They're not the color or the style that I originally wanted, but I really like them.  I hope I like them as much when they come in.

3.  J.K. Rowling's new book is out today!  I'm going to go buy it on my lunch break.  I really really hope it's good.

I heard about J.K.'s new book on NPR today. It sounded intriguing to me. (Said the girl who has only read the first HP book because it was required for a Children's Lit course in college.)

Hi Elle,

You will have to keep me posted on how her new book is.  I've very interested to read it as well.  I was going to ask what the update was on the situation with your boss.
 
Work is a bit slow today, but I don't mind.  I just feel like the week is totally dragging. Tonight I have a real estate agent stopping by tonight, to look at my condo to get an idea of what it might sell for.  We need more space, so we're looking to upgrade as some point.  It's kind of exciting but a bit stressful too.  So we'll see what happens.

I'll definitely let you guys know what I think about the book.  I'm really interested to see whether it still sounds like JK with such different subject matter.  I kind of hope it does, because her writing style is one of the reasons I love HP so much, but at the same time, I'm worried it'll make me sad that I'm not reading a new HP book, if that makes sense.

Good morning!

I haven't made plans yet to pick up JKR's book.  I need to get on that.  I really really hope that it is good.  I just "liked" DSW on Facebook.  Now I have something to look forward to on Tuesdays.

Today's plans are work, The Big Bang Theory premier, and continue learning about Illustrator.

I spent a whole lot of money at VS Tuesday night. I went in to get something sexy for DH's birthday (which is tomorrow) and ended up buying that plus 3 new bras and some panties. Whoops. Tonight I'm baking him a cake, which I super excited for. I love to bake.

Reply all...... is the worst thing ever!!!!!! My inbox is now being flooded and it's the stupidest email to begin with.  It was sent across to I think everyone in our entire division.

That's awesome that you won! And those are really cute.

I will not be buying Rowling's new book. I don't really care to read anything from her other than HP. Plus this book just sounded boring. Maybe if Elle loves it I'll change my mind though - so let me know how it is.

I have a quiz tonight in class. I stayed up all night studying for it and I still don't feel prepared.

Beth- Don't you hate that?  I do, it always makes me mad. 

Today is a nervous day, school starts for me today.  As always, I am a nervous wreck about my classes.  I only have one class today and it is in the afternoon so it feels really weird.  I just sent H off to class but now I am too nervous to go back to sleep.   

I am having German night with my friend tonight.  She is making Schnitzel and we are going to watch Tangled in German.  I am pretty excited about that!

She'll answer to either.  :)  Both names pop up from time to time.  I call her Ray, but that's just because it's close to her IRL name.

That is the worst! I had rice the other day and just as I was swallowing I sneezed. Ended up with rice mush stuck to the top of my throat/nose. It took hours to get it out. I was at dinner with my family and bf and they're still making fun of me for it. It definitely felt weird.

Have you seen a video of someone swallowing spaghetti whole, but it comes out of their nose and they can pull it through? It's gross but pretty funny. I think I saw it on America's Funniest Home Videos.

I'm pretty excited for JKR's new book too!  But I think I'm going to wait until my B&N card comes in (I just ordered one with my rewards pts on my credit card, so it should be here shortly.)

I'm kinda exhausted today, and it's only 3 PM.  I blame working like 7 AM - 8 PM most days this week (yesterday it was 8 AM - 7 PM instead, but still ridiculous)

German was my minor in college.  I think I am better at reading German, than speaking it though.  Right now I feel like I wouldn't understand a word of German, it has been so long.  I need to get in a class or something.  But PLEASE send me that link, Beauty and the Beast is my absolute favorite Disney movie.
