Mass Time/ to Reception timing

Hi Ladies,  we have our mass scheduled at 4:00pm and will end round 5:00  our cocktail hour starts at 6:00 pm and is a half hour away from the church..so we will need to leave by 5:30 We are not doing the first look. We wanted to get a few pictures inside the church and out in the field before we get in the limo to go take pictures during cocktail hour at our reception.  Is having a mass that end around 5:00 cutting it too close? - To have enough time for all the guests to get out of the church and take a few pictures and be on our way to the reception at 5:30???? Or should I change our mass time to 3:45 or 3:30?

    Leave your schedule as is.

Our Mass was at 12:30 and it ended up being 1 hr. 45 min. long. We did video and pictures outside the church and headed to cocktail hour immediately after that.

It may be cutting it close - are you going to greet the guests as they leave the church? that slows everything down --

I'd leave it as is. Your guests will be driving over to the reception venue while you and your party take the last pictures in the church, then they'll be starting their cocktails while you make your way to the second venue and they'll all have a glass in hand when you make your grand entrance as husband and wife.
