do i need to wear the puffy slip under my dress?

I bought a dress that is a "ballroom" style, so the skirt puffs out. They sold me a puffy slip to wear under the dress to make the skirt even bigger. But the thing is, lately I've been trying it on and I don't know if i want to wear the slip, i think it looks nice without it, and I don't want to take up a bunch of room in the dress... not to mention it will be easier to sit at the reception without the slip.am i SUPPOSED to wear it? like will anyone know that the dress is supposed to have a puffy slip?

It's up to you - you don't HAVE to wear it, it's not a requirement by any means. Do what you're comfortable with.

You don't have to wear anything underneath unless you want to; no one will know the difference, unless the skirt is clearly too long and looks like it's hanging off you otherwise.  But if you think it looks nice without a bigger skirt, then by all means, don't wear the crinoline underneath!!  I'm actually doing the same with mine; it's a ballgown and I have the option of wearing a crinoline underneath to make it even bigger, but honestly I think my dress looks a thousand times better without the crinoline underneath.

I have a ball gown as well for my wedding and I am not wearing the slip. You also have to keep in mind, depending on how big it is, that your fiance/ husband will need to get close to you at some point and if its too big that would make it quite difficult to do.
