I was just in our break room when a co-worker walked in. I have never worked directly with this guy, but his office is just down the hall from me. We pass each other often, ride the elevator together, do the head nod to each other in passing.He just asked me how my kids were doing. I said I had just the one, but he was doing well. He said, "Oh, really? Just the one? You were gone for so long for one kid."Um, I took four months maternity leave (this was a month over the norm at my firm, I just took it unpaid). I returned to work January 2. It is almost October. I understand that we don't work together, but really? Do you think I am somebody else?
