When are you getting married? What would you consider to be cheap? I think that I heard fairy tale manor in frisco was reasonable. Also, green oaks wedding chapel in Arlington was nice. I don't remember their pricing.

The Fairy Tale Manor is awesome, that's where we're having our wedding, but it's a little on the pricy side.

For something that small, I'd suggest Providence Place, it's got a very nice outdoor garden, but can do an indoor wedding as well. It's over in Rockwall. They do allow outside catering, but will provide it if you need it. http://www.purelyprovidential.com/events.html

There's also Alexandar Mansion in Garland, they have a BEAUTIFUL house and grounds. They're all inclusive, but they have good prices. Another spot that was kinda far out of the way is Memories and Milestones of Krum. It's a bit of a drive, but it's a nice old converted church, and it's in a really pretty spot.

I, too, only moved here to the area last year so have been floundering. During my wanders, i did find various venues that weren't so pricey. Alexander Mansion in Garland was one of them. We ended up not going for it only because it was a little confusing to try to find it. Our ultimate venue is Reflections on Spring Creek in Plano. You might want to check them out. Once you start adding in bar charges, etc., things get pricey. Reflections combines both food and drink minimums which is handy - the minmum is $6000 I believe for both - they combine it. The venue charge is $2295. So for under $10,000, you could concievably have a nice wedding. They even have table centerpieces that you can use free of charge, and their settings are china and crystal. If you contact me directly, i'll be happy to give you more info. And no, I don't work for them. I'm just happy that I found a good venue without fuss.

[QUOTE]Have you looked into Adriatica in McKinney? It might fit your budget. http://belladonnachapel.com/ Or maybe Eden Hill Farm and Vineyard? http://www.edenhill.com

Bella Donna starts at 2500 for a ceremony. That would eat into pretty much her entire budget. Pretty? Yes. Budget friendly? No.

For that size- you might try El Fenix Restaurant in downtown Dallas. No outside catering, but their food and bar packages are incredibly reasonable (11.95$ pp for food and 10.95 pp for alcohol- 3 hrs unlimited consumption). They include everything except for centerpieces and decor (although the place is already nice enough you could do without it). Their minimums are $1000 for Fri/Sun and $1500 for Saturday. Their rooftop terrace area is HUGE, but it may be a little cold for December. They also have a microphone/av equipment and an iPod hookup.

You might also try the Red Oak Ballroom (20 miles south of Dallas) http://www.redoaktx.org/index.aspx?nid=121 it is 375$ to rent and includes tables and chairs- you can byob. Will probably need to rent a dancefloor, linens, and do extra things to make it pretty.

Also: the Heard Natural Science Museum has a room that you can rent for 1000 full day or 600$ half day.

This place is kind-of cheesy/cutsey and just makes your budget. The chapel is very intamite and cute which I like. The reception hall is a little generic. I went to a wedding at the chapel which was sweet. I've seen a whole wedding at this place on Four Weddings on TLC. I believe the bride just brought in BBQ from their favorite place for their guests.

Easy to get to off of 35 in Lewisville.
