I love my husband!

Re: I love my husband!

  • Yea, the Dr. Said as long as you have 4 a year you're okay (although, to me, that is not okay. No period means no ovulation which does not make me happy).
T always freaks out and goes hey...its been forever...go take a test! I'm like no. Seriously, I get tired of wasting test for nothing. Sometime when I tell friends how long its been theyre like "could you be pg?!" I'm like yes, I suppose so but i really, reallllly doubt it.
    Once a year though, wow!
  • Darn good timing!
My niece was born because the stupid pharmacist failed to tell T's sisters that her medications counteracted the BC...for a year!!!
  • I would be a mental case if I only had 4 period a year. Even when I wasn't sexually active if I was a week late I would start worrying about what my body was doing.

[QUOTE]That's a great story Cher :) They've never shared that much info, thank goodness, but I do know I was there little miracle baby. They were married at 25, mom had 3 miscarriages before me, had me at 30, then a still birth afterwards. My niece was conceived while sil was visiting bil in Nigeria. They had sex once that year (because he was overseas), talk about good timing!

I do enjoy my conception story now as an adult but not really at 12.  My mother didn't mean to tell it just kinda slipped out.  I understand about miracle babies.  My mom had such an easy pregnancy and delivery with me she never expected any problems for the next one.  She miscarried 8 times and had one still born baby before she had my brother.  It was actually determined that there are blood flow/placenta problems in my maternal line.  She went on to have my baby sister fine as well but we all know that once we are pregnant we take a baby aspirin.  My mom calls me her little miracle since logically and scientifically I shouldn't have made it to term nor been born alive.  I've always been a stubborn pain in the ass so it doesn't really surprise me!

Pregnancy tests are expensive!! We ended up buying them in bulk at Sams club....such an odd thing to buy in mass quantities.

Ugh.  Always figuring out which medications affected my BC was a pain.  Though I'd just call my father and pester him (he's a Dr.).
  • 8 miscarriages? Holy crap, I was incredibly depressed after my 1, I can't imagine going through 8. She is one strong woman that's for sure!
  • Tide- I so hope airfare gets really cheap very fast.
  • Sorry, guys, I got distracted by FB and a movie.

Tide - is it really that bad?  Damn.  I never had rough periods before, so I'm hoping it won't be so bad.  *crosses fingers*

Kristi - my cousin had lots of issues and she miscarried twice.  They took some time off from charting before going to the doctor about it, and that's the month she got ku!  It's weird how our bodies work.  I really hope there's a baby Whompus soon.  :)

Ya my mom's awesome but she really wanted another baby.  It also didn't help that as soon as I could talk I pestered for a baby brother on a daily basis.

    Sorry about your's =(
  • Pg test would be an odd thing to buy in bulk, heck, they're a weird thing to SELL in bulk.

I agree =) I sent FI to Sams once and all my list was PG tests, Pads and Tampons in bulk.  He's a good guy and bought all three......though he looked a little frazzled.
  • Sucrets - It was  like my body said, "Hey, you haven't had one for a year.  Here's an extra special dose, just in case you forgot what it felt like."
Holy Crap. We survived the first year!

  • Once I was in Wal-Mart and a lady went through the check out with over 50 PG tests. I can totally see why though. When you are ttc if you are one day late its really hard to not take one. I could see the flip side too, where if you aren't getting your period but 4 times a year you would want to take one.

Last month mom went grocery shopping with me, I bought tampons, prenatals, and a hpt. Go me.

Thanks Cher. It's getting easier to accept, but it was a lot rougher emotionally than I thought it would be. You go to a really bad place when it happens.

Oh! Has anyone seen pics of Baby B yet? Did I miss them?

That's Mr. Bubbles, the magical seahorse.

It's basically a glowworm, but in seahorse form.  She LOVES it.  LOVES.  Best $12 we've ever spent.

  • Dh went with me to get pregnancy tests one time. He spent over 20 minutes analyzing the back of the boxes trying to decide which one was best. He's a goober.

And ugh, I just remember I have to go to the dentist to finish my root canal Monday. Prepare for Vicodin Kristi...

    ::Shudder:: root canals.....good uck.

The first time I sent FI to get pads he came back with depends.  I was like noooooo I don't have incontinence just my period but thanks for trying.
  • All you need is the right incentive ;)
  • Baha depends!

Katie- :( T's sister went through a MC back in February and I know its been super rough on her, I can not imagine.
  • I'm also a sensitive mess because my baby sister graduated from high school today.  All three of us went to a private boarding Quaker school which is a very close community.  FI says its like a cult but he doesn't understand.  I'm sad cause it's my last connection to the school till I possibly send my kids there....

  • Hopefully it won't be as bad as the first. I went in the first time in...April? She saw 3 roots in the xray but only 2 when she went in. So she dealt with the tooth and told me to come back later. My regular dentist thinks the 3rd root just dissolved back into my body (ew?) so this visit will be to confirm it.
She numbs the living daylights out of you though, which is definitely a good thing. I took 2 Vicodin the day of and the next day had no pain whatsoever.
