My metro area is flooding, and is expected to continue to flood through tomorrow. The news keeps showing video of people freaking out and saying they never saw it coming.
Um, not to be a downer, but you live in a high-risk flood zone and it's been raining heavily for the last few days, melting the snow on the ground.
To those on the fence about getting flood insurance, please consider getting it. Your homeowner's insurance will not cover the damage. The small premium is a small price to pay for peace of mind.
