I am watching a CBC special on the Passionate Eye called Spain's Stolen Children. It's about babies being sold at birth to strangers. The birth families were told that their babies had died at birth or shortly thereafter. They were forbidden to see their "bodies" and often prevented to attend the funeral. They would bury stones, other body parts in the place of these babies that were sold to other people.
Now the the biological families are trying to find their parents, siblings and other relatives.
This is so sad!
