Mid-Cities reception venues

I am getting married next May in Bedford, and being the indecisive procrastinator that I am, am still looking at venues. I have 2 that I like (Knights of Columbus Hall and Texas Star golf course) but it's like choosing between apples and oranges! I live in Irving, and besides church in Bedford I'm not super familiar with the area- does anyone know of some good venues for 150 around there? Texas Star is about $1500 for the room all day, so I am looking for something in the ballpark or less, preferably bring our own caterer if possible. TIA!

I don't know how much they charge but the Colleyville Community Center is beautiful.  Ceiling to floor windows, there's a fountain.  I just love it.  The Grapevine Convention Center might be a possibility too but you'd have to contact them to be for sure.  Colleyvill CC does allow outside catering.

The Texas Star is awesome! The people are so nice and the food is fantastic! They do a great job and let you do just about anything you want.

Texas Star is great! I was also thinking the wineries, but it does depend on your guest list as well.

You might also look into the Lancaster Theatre in Grapevine. It's about that same price and they do let you bring in your own caterer and alcohol. I went to a wedding there in 2006 and it was so much fun. They had a lot of room and the atmosphere was very original.

The Lancaster Theater is nice but it might not be quite big enough.  I've been in there with 100 and it was a little tight.  It still might be worth looking into.
