Buffalo Chicken Dip

Does the recipe for buffalo chicken dip in a crock pot vary much from just making it in the oven? I have a recipe i've used before but for thanksgiving this year i want to be fancy and use a crock pot to keep it warm.

Here's a recipe you can use for a crockpot:

2 cans 12 oz chicken (drained)
1 cup Frank's hot sauce
2 8oz cream cheese
1 cup ranch dressing
2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Mix chicken and hot sauce
Add chicken mixture and remaining ingredients to crockpot
Heat on low til cheese is melted

Wouldn't buffalo dip have blue cheese instead of ranch?

This recipe is fantastic! One of FI's favs...  blue cheese dressing is too stong for the whole dip, so we serve blue cheese crumbles seperately, that guests can put on for themseleves..

I've seen it with blue cheese and ranch, noisy.  I do ranch because blue cheese is disgusting.

Don't use canned chicken.  Using baked chicken breast makes it taste so much better.

You could probably use blue cheese or ranch, whatever you like better.  I agree, cooked chicken breast is probably better than canned.
