How much to Cater??

We have about 300 guests and intend to have cupcakes, brownies and ice cream at the reception.  Wondering how much cupcakes and brownies should we get.  They are the mini sized ones.  Thinking of about 150 pcs each of cupcakes and brownies with 6 tubs of ice cream (1 tub = 50 scoops).  Is this too much or too little?  Can someone please advise.  Thanks!

If the cupcakes are mini, and you're only allowing ½ of one per person, I definitely think that's too few. If they were regular sized (and that's all you're serving) I would plan one of EACH per person. As mini sized ones, I'd bank on 2-3 of each per person. As for ice cream, I'd double that number too... especially if it's self serve. I know I count a serving of ice cream as two scoops in a bowl.
