Choosing a cake

I've narrowed my bakery down to 2 choices but am having a hard time deciding.
Choice A is a local bakery that my parents have been using for years for various birthday cakes.  The cake tasting wasn't what I had hoped, they only gave us one batter to taste and they don't offer filling flavors.  The pictures of the cakes they've done are nice, nothing too extravegent.  They serve the top tier and give us a free, fresh one for our one year anniversary.
Choice B is a private baker who is a friend of a friend.  She customizes in specialty cakes and some of her work is over the top gorgeous.  She is $80 more expensive than Choice A.  She sketched out extactly what I wanted & the cake batter/fillings were delicious.

I guess my dilemma is is the cake part of the wedding (how it looks and tastes) worth spending $80 more or should I go with the more affordable and spend the money saved elsewhere?
