Help - Alterations NN HR area

Ladies I need help.  I purchased a sample dress that needs alterations.  Who can you recommend that is going to do a good job and not cost an arm and a leg?  I am looking in the Newport News or Hampton Roads area.

  • Try Desiree's Custom Sewing in Hampton, VA. Her business is at her house & she only does one bride at a time. Also, it only cost me $55 to take my dress in at the waist & bring it in at the bust. It only took 3 weeks & the best part is I couldn't even tell I had any work done to the dress except now it fits versus when I first got it. It was seamless. Also she has a website too. It's http://www.perfect-wedding-dress-finder.com/wedding-dress-alterations.html

<div>Oh wow thank you so much!!  I was afraid to take it to just anyone with out knowing their work.  With my luck I would get it back and it would be horrible.  I am definitely going to be looking into her.  What was the detail on your dress like?</div>
  • You're so very welcome!

My dress is Alfred Angelo 2155. It's a tea length dress with a fairly poofy skirt with flowers embroidered onto the skirt & crinoline underneath it. Also, it has kind of a ruched waist with a heavily beaded bodice. As well as, a zipper back.

Yay! It worked. My first pip.
