Anyone doing fans?

I've decided to do silk hand fans as favors for my August wedding, but I'm not sure how many I should get. I honestly doubt everyone will take one, especially the guys, and I don't want to end up with a billion extra after the wedding! About how many would be good for 100 guests?

If it is the only favor you will have, I think you should buy one per guest.  The men are likely not to reuse them, but they may just take them and pass them along to a woman they may know. Alao, if its an outdoor wedding in August, or just plain old hot, the men willwant something to fan themselves with if all the woman are fanning. Lastly, if you plan to not buy fans for everyone, just count the females on your guest list and purchase accordingly.
