How to communicate this in a polite way...

My wedding is in 6 days (AAH!), and I need a little help with a small detail we haven't figured out yet.

We are doing mix CDs as our favors (please spare me the opinions, I know most of you on here hate this idea, but it's done and we like it :).  Most of the reception is not assigned seating, since it is in an old mansion with multiple rooms.  So we are planning on putting the CDs in a pretty basket on the same table as our guest book, card box, etc.  We are going to have about 150 guests, and we made a little over 100 CDs.  The idea is that it should be one per couple or one per single person.

Here is the question: Do we need to make a little sign to explain this?  Will people automatically take one each unless we instruct them otherwise?  My instinct says some people won't take one at all, and most couples will only take one... so we are probably fine with what we have.  But I don't want to run out and feel like a jerk.

What do you think?

Could you put each person's or couple's name on a piece of paper (in nice writing or printed font) and then stick them with a tape roll or that stretchy glue stuff onto the CDs? Then put the CDs in alphabetical order by last name into the basket?

I think having a sign would not hurt. Something like the bride and groom would like to share with each couple a cd of favorite love songs...something simple. It conveys only 1 per couple.

I've been to weddings where this is done and either a basket of CDs or a pile of some sort will just show that you made enough for everyone.  I think people will understand...

You are already married now.. so I know this won't help but my fiance and I are thinking about the same.. but our mixtapes are doing double duty since they will have little cards that will serve as an escort card.
