My wedding is in 9 days, and I have just recently learned that we will have about half a dozen children present, ranging in age from 8months-7years. We decided to give them special "favor bags" on top of the others (tulle bag of pastel mints).
So far I have a stack of coloring books, individual packages of crayons, "gazz-it" modeling clay (it is supposed to be really mess free, I plan on opening one to find out if this is true), and little boxes of puzzles for the 5 + kids.
As a parent, is this something you would appreciate? Do you think the kids will like them/ get use from them? I don't want them bored. It is also nice, the "bridal room" is right out side the reception room, and is basically a little square room with couches. IT will easily become a "kids" room for anything necessary- naps, quiet time, what ever. So, that makes me happy.
Anyway.. Favor bags, yay or nay?

The truth behind a well laced dress
[QUOTE]Sounds like a good idea as well. BTW when I first saw this post my first thought was "She wants to give children as favors?"

<div>haha!!! That's a good one.</div><div>
</div><div>I plan on giving the kids little goodie bags before the ceremony filled with a small coloring book, an 8 pack of crayons, some dum-dums, and some other quite things they can do during the ceremony so they don't get bored and loud. For the 3 infants, I plan on putting a teething ring, some baby snacks, and a few quiet toys. I'm going to put them all in small brown paper sacks and tie them with a ribbon.</div>

I didn't even think about for the ceremony! I have 6 little ones coming.. knowing them, if I gave them something for the ceremony, it would end up worse than with out. I can just imagine the crayons being thrown, etc. I am just hoping parents are kind enough to escort them out if they get uncontrollably loud.
