lottery tickets!!! perfect idea!

we are doing lottery tickets, one dollar !!! we have 200 guests adn as u know trying to stay under a dollar a piece is so hard, so we came up with the idea to do scratch off tickets, were buying them at valentines day time and we are going to put a red ribbon around it with a tag saying, lucky in love, lucky in life, good luck!!

    That is a pretty cool idea, just keep the following in mind:

    1.) Make sure it goes with the theme of your wedding. While I personally love casinos and lottery scratch off tickets, I would have considered them too "casual" for my formal wedding.

    2.) Make sure if you are buying them in February for your July wedding, that they will not expire before your wedding date! I'd be so disappointed as a guest if I won even $5 on the ticket, flipped it over, and saw it had already expired.

    3.) Also, make sure your guests will not be offended by this. Most people won't. However, I live in a pretty conservative area where there are very devout Christians who are against gambling.

    As long as you cover these bases, you should be fine and I'm sure the favors would go over well :)  Personally I would love to receive a $1 scratch off as a favor at a wedding, assuming it went with the casualness of the wedding!

    Ditto PP as for the suggestions but I woul dpersonally love to get a scratch off ticket. I love them anyway because they are fun, cheap and I get super excited when I win even a free ticket. lol

    As long as you meet all the above suggestions I think you will be just fine.

    you know your crowd. i think my family would've loved this idea as they are lottery ticket buyers. i think it's a cute idea. if you think your guests will like and it fits the theme of your wedding then go for it.

    Such a great, unique idea!  I don't think you have to worry about it matching your theme...at the end of the day your theme is love, and your tag says it all. Your guests will love it (especially if someone wins some cash...such an added bonus!)
