favors or not?

I am having a pseudo destination wedding and am providing gift baskets at the hotel for all out of town guests. Do I also need to do favors at the wedding? My personal feeling is that people don't care or remember to take favors home half of the time. I feel like its not a good use of our budget. THOUGHTS??

Skip the favors or do something small and edible like personalized chocolates or fortune cookies...

Skip them I don't like them either.

Skip the favors, especially the seedlings (I smell a vendor there).  Seedlings require attention andf a desire to have a tree.  Not much use if you are in an apt or condo.  Just skip the favors, that is fine.
