hi eveyone! i've heard about giving mixed cd's out as wedding favors and including a random selection of songs that are going to be played at your ceremony and reception.
what's everyone's thoughts on this idea and has anyone done this or going to? thanks!
Re: mixed cd's as favors?
You like your music, and that's great. I like my music, and that's great. But what if you don't care for the same music I do? Now you have a CD that you'll never, ever listen to.
I've gotten mix CDs as gifts, and quite honestly, have tossed them away. I fear that the same will happen to your "favor" idea. Many will be left on the tables at the end of the night. People who will feel bad about leaving them behind will take them home and throw them out.
And unlike an edibly favor, what will you do with 37 identical CD's that are left behind? At least you can eat the 37 m&m filled tulle bags if you have an edible favor.
I vote no.

What if you dedicated one track on the album to each of your bridemaids and groomsmen? Something that reminds you of that person.
As a bridesmaid, I would absolutely cherish it.
