How much Candy for a buffet?

Hi!

I can't find anywhere that suggests how much candy we should have if we plan on doing a candy buffet.  Does anyone have am answer?

I have read 8 oz per person.  I have seen 6 oz too but more of them said 8 oz.  Either way I am not buying 100 lbs of candy.
