Plastic or No Plastic?

My favors are going to be chocolate covered oreos. Each guest will receive two, one white chocolate covered and one dark chocolate. They are going to be tied up in a tulle circle and placed on each plate. Should I put them in a small plastic bag prior to wrapping in the tulle circle? I'm not sure if that would be odd looking or not.

Re: Plastic or No Plastic?

  • I vote plastic.  dust and dirt can get in the tulle and get to the oreos.
  • I agree with plastic
  • I third the plastic.  It will keep the oreos clean and prevent the tulle from sticking to them.  And if you "poof" the top of the plastic and the tulle after you tie it, it can give a pretty effect (think of the poofs of tissue paper topping off a gift bag).
  • I would skip the tulle and just put them in cellophane baggies and tie with a nice ribbon.

    **Plastic**
We are having candy as well in favor boxes.  We are using resealable cellophane plastic and then placing it in the favor boxes.

This is where we ordered them from....

  • The wedding I went to that had these (best favor ever), put the two in a favor box.  No plastic or tulle.
  • I vote for foil! Can you get colored foil (like silver and black)? It can look very professional and fancy! If not, then definitely go for the plastic in tulle!
