Flowers

centerpiece flowers

Has anybody used silk flowers in water for their cenerpieces? I'm wanting do do rocks in vase, fill it with water and flowers, then float a candle on top. I didn't know how well the silk flowers would look or if the color would was off?

Silk flowers usually look ok submerged, but sometimes the dye will run on the colored ones.  You'll need to test them first.  And sometimes you need to weight the stem down or they will float to the top.  A dab of floral clay uner the rocks usually works.

Only way to know is to test. Also, silk are usually lighter than the actual flower and may float.

I am using silk orchids and i've done a test and they are perfect.... if your using brightly colored flowers i would definately test them bc they may bleed.
