Videography - Thoughts on Ceremony Only

Any of you do ceremony only videography only and regret it? Packages for ceremony only align right with our budget, and including the reception would put us overbudget for the videographer we are interested in (who happens to be relatively affordable).

I'm just trying to get thoughts on this. There will be photography and I really want to stay on track budget-wise, but a part of me thinks I will always regret not having video of the reception as well.

Thanks for your insight!

I think the only part of the reception you'd really miss watching would be the first dance and the father/daughter dance. You can just set up a camcorder on a tripod and video those yourself though and stay on budget.

I was anti-video, but bi the bullet and got one any way. We don't watch it very often, but I love having it there for me to watch. We did both ceremony and reception and I love being able to see everything that I missed the night of my wedding. I'm grateful to have it.
