Dahlias?

Has anyone worked with dahlias for a wedding?  I love them, have a great lead on a supplier, and am looking for a ton of color!  I'd love to have some pictures I can follow for bouquets and centerpieces.  I have seen centerpieces of shallow bowls and a large dahlia blossom, but unfotunately I already have centerpiece vases that I think work best with long stems and I'm not sure how to arrange dahlias in them- http://www.joann.com/home-inspirations-penelope-candle-centerpiece/xprd1067294/?_requestid=350697

    It will be easy... you wont get real long stems but that wase will be perfect because it will hold them together... ( Swan Island?)

    here  just pile em in!

    I love dahlias, they are great to work with but do best when grouped with other flowers!  The stems are fairly delicate so they need other stems to provide support.  If you visit images.google.com and search dahila centerpieces, you should come up with something you like!  They do come in some beautiful colors!
