Our reception site offers tall silk floral centerpieces - at no additional cost. I hated the silk flowers at first, not because the arrangements were ugly -- they're beautiful -- but because they're silk. Then I liked them... it would help cut the cost of flowers, and they're lovely arrangements. Then I hated them again... because I started thinking people would think we're cheap as opposed to economical. (I'm still planning to use fresh flowers for my bouquet and maids, groom, groomsmen, parents, etc.) Now after booking our florist, and seeing how expensive even SIMPLE floral arrangements using simple and in-season flowers could be... I'm back to wanting the silk ones again. Is it tacky to have silks? Will anyone really notice?
