Every one of these vendors were excellent - you would not go wrong with any of them. They prove that you do not have to hire the most expensive to get the best. Our daughter's wedding at Old Red was beautiful and these vendors made it special. Old Red Courthouse, Dallas, Texas Old Red was an excellent venue for our daughter's wedding on Sunday, May 29, 2011 and a particularly nice place since we had so many out of town guests. Ashlee Voda in the facilities department was proactive, easy to work with, and answered all questions and returned calls promptly. Carolyn Brown, the on- site planner provided for the rehearsal and the wedding day was helpful and professional and made everything go smoothly. The wedding was beautiful. Book early if you want to be married at Old Red.
Culinary Art Catering, Addison, Texas Vivian Morgan and Chef Yossi of Culinary Art Catering were key to the success of our daughter's wedding at Old Red on Sunday, May 29, 2011 - they could not have done a better job. The food was excellent and our guests are still talking about how they never had such good food at a wedding. The presentation was beautiful, the service was excellent and the linens and tableware were very nice. Once you contract with them, you do not need to worry about a thing - they listen, offer good ideas, and make sure that everything is exactly as you want it to be. They exceeded our expectations and provided excellent value for the money. I will recommend Culinary Art to anyone looking for a wonderful caterer.

Carl and his son, Travis, did a spectacular job at our daughter's wedding on Sunday, May 29, 2011 getting all of the best shots without intruding upon the day. KaBloom of Dallas/Fleurs de France, Addison, TexasDianne France of Fleurs de France recently acquired KaBloom of Dallas. Dianne did a wonderful job on the flowers and decoration for our daughter's wedding on Sunday, May 29, 2011. All we had to do is tell her the colors we had in mind and she very creatively developed beautiful draping for the beam in the Restoration Room at the Old Red for the ceremony and fashioned the bridal party bouquets and boutonnieres. So many people remarked that they never knew how well red and orange went together until they saw the beautiful red and orange roses and mango calla lilies all together. The flowers were good quality and lasted for about a week after the wedding. Dianne's pricing is affordable and a very good value. I recommend her highly - the flowers were exactly what my daughter had envisioned. She also has rental items - we used two pedestals for the ceremony flowers.
Panini Bakery & Cakes, Dallas, TexasWe ordered a wedding cake and a groom's cake for our daughter's wedding on Sunday, May 29, 2011. The cakes, done in buttercream, were delicious...there was enough cake for twice the number of guests due to having the groom's cake, too, and almost every last bit of it was gone. The cakes were delivered on time and looked very nice.
Becky Fowler Alterations, Irving, TexasBecky did a wonderful job altering my daughter's wedding gown. My daughter is petite and the dress did not come in a petite size so Becky had to take it apart to shorten the waist and give it petite proportions. She did a lovely job at a very reasonable price, far less than the original bridal shop would have charged.
Glenn Roush Productions, Dallas, Texas Anyone who follows the reviews knows that everyone loves Glenn Roush. This is with good reason. Glenn was the DJ at our daughter's wedding at Old Red on Sunday, May 29, 2011 and he did a wonderful job - the dance floor was packed all night until the very end - everyone, young and old alike - had a great time. He played all the requested music for the ceremony, cocktails, dinner and dancing and selections of his own that fit in perfectly. He keeps the ceremony and reception moving and on time...we didn't have to worry about a thing. Glenn also did the special lighting over the dance floor which looked great. Everything was in good taste and he and his assistant, James, are both very nice young men.
Haute Façade, Dallas, Texas Kelly Espinoza of Haute Facade did a wonderful job on hair and make-up for my daughter's hair and make-up trial, bridal photos and for the wedding party on the day of the wedding, Sunday, May 29, 2011 at Old Red. Kelly's work is just right for what my daughter wanted - she wanted everyone to look like themselves only much better. Kelly patiently worked with each person to arrive at a hair style that they liked and the make-up was perfect...it looked beautiful and professional and not overdone. Everyone looked great. Kelly responds quickly to phone and email, she will come to your venue and is always prompt. Her pricing is excellent for these services - a good value.
The Magnolia, Dallas, Texas The Magnolia Hotel at 1401 Commerce Street in Dallas is an upscale, boutique hotel in the historic Magnolia Petroleum Building that is centrally located and within walking distance of many Dallas attractions. It is more like a European hotel with trendy furnishings and personalized service that you don't find in the run-of-the-mill chain hotels. For our daughter's wedding, we reserved a room block at a very good price which included a full American breakfast, daily happy hour and a nightly cookie buffet. The hotel has a 24 hour fitness facility which is available at no charge to guests. Check to see if the hotel shuttle service is available- we were told it did not run on the weekends but to our surprise, on this weekend it did which made it nice for our guests. Ask for Charlotte Rhodes, the Sales and Catering manager. She can help you with room blocks. The Magnolia also seems to be popular for wedding receptions.
