So I have lurked around the Knot for a few months now and we have just recently booked our reception and ceremony so our date is set, July 20, 2012, and I thought I would introduce myself on this board!
Mike (FI) and I got engaged on 1-1-11, Mike's lucky number is 11. It was a perfect proposal, just me and him in our apartment and so very randomly. I was 100% shocked and surprised. We have talked about getting married someday for years I just had no idea it was coming!
Mike and I started dating in High school. We met when I was 16 he was 17 and dated until I was 21. At that point we decided we needed a break to grow up a little on our own so a break we took. It lasted for almost 2 years. Shortly after my 23rd birthday we got back together and things have never been better!!
We really needed that break to become ourselves and I do not regret that decision at all.
