How to choose a DJ??

Hello ladies!

I was wondering what criteria you all used to choose a DJ for your reception if you are using one? My fiance and I are definitely meeting our DJ before the reception, as well as making sure that they have a zero alcohol policy and liability insurance, as well as have a history of playing nothing from the do-not-play list. We're reading reviews on weddingwire and visiting various home sites. Help??

I think you're on the right track though! I would go and see each dj in action so you can see how they interact with guests and how things go. I would also set your budget before you meet with any of them so they can't sway you on the price!

You could try asking about DJs on your local board. The ladies there may be able to recommend someone good in your area.
