Appropriate cost for DJ?

Hello, all!!
 I am planning a budget wedding (10K) and need to know what a good price to pay for a DJ would be. I've gotten a quote for $750 from a guy I really like and have worked with several times (I'm also a wedding photographer) but just was wondering if I can find someone cheaper/or if I'm getting a deal. Thanks!!!!

    Prices vary greatly by region, so I suggest you post this on your local board (see links to the left under "Local Wedding Boards.)

    Also, just some friendly advice for posting on the boards - I wouldn't mention that you are a wedding photographer.  Even if you are not advertising your services, vendors aren't allowed to promote themselves here.  Good luck planning your wedding!

    Ive have gotten prces varying from $600-$1000. Some of the DJs in my area are having black friday sales this weekend. I would do some research online.
