ladies help! father daughter dance

Ok so heres the deal..my father is not in the picture. will not be attending my wedding or anything. my step dad has been around the last 15 years but we are NOT close.. i need to have the father daughter dance but we arent close, and i dont call him dad. PLEASE help with song suggestions! the only one ive considered is that song by Brad Paisley..He didnt have to Be is what i think the song is called. but id really appreciate better suggestions. thanks

Why not just skip it?

I would just skip it, too. You don't have to do something just because tradition says you do. If we have a dance at our reception, we're doing a first dance, and that's it.

because its important to him. He calls me his daughter, i just dont call him my dad. Hes done a lot for me. we just dont have a close relationship. i'd like to do it... just having big issues on the song

What about "somewhere over the rainbow" by israel kamakawiwo'ole? It's a tad more upbeat, not as mushy emotional.
