Brother/Sister dance instead of Father/Daughter

I will be dancing with my brother for the "Father/Daughter" dance.  Any suggestions for a song to use?

I am also dancing with my brother instead of the father/daughter. We are dancing to "fix you" by coldplay. It is perfect for us. We've helped eachother through broken hearts and rough times.

I am also looking for a song dance to with my brother. During the past two years we lost our youngest brother, my grandfather ( we have different fathers) and unfortunately three days after I was engaged my father passed away. So anyfeed back that you receive I would be greatly appreciative if you could pass it on to me. Thanks

I'd just find a song that means something to both of you. Brainstorm.

Try this site for ideas....... while meant to be father/daughter or mother/son, there are appropriate songs for brother/sister.

Good luck. (Jess, sorry to hear about your recent history)

My Brother and I very close, everytime I hear the song "Orange Sky" by Alexi Murdoch, I cry.  Its definelty a song for siblings who have been thru some hard times together.. and theres always "white wedding" by Bill Idol :)

    Well I had a dream
I stood beneath an orange sky
    Yes I had a dream
I stood beneath an orange sky
    With my brother standing by
    With my brother standing by
I said Brother, you know you know
It’s a long road we’ve been walking on
Brother you know it is you know it is
Such a long road we’ve been walking on

    And I had a dream
I stood beneath an orange sky
    With my sister standing by
    With my sister standing by
I said Sister, here is what I know now
Here is what I know now
    Goes like this..
In your love, my salvation lies
In your love, my salvation lies
In your love, my salvation lies
In your love, in your love, in your love

But sister you know I’m so weary
    And you know sister
    My hearts been broken
    Sometimes, sometimes
My mind is too strong to carry on
    Too strong to carry on

    When I am alone
When I’ve thrown off the weight of this crazy stone
When I've lost all care for the things I own
That's when I miss you, that's when I miss you, that's when I miss you
    You who are my home
    You who are my home
And here is what I know now
Here is what I know now
    Goes like this..
In your love, my salvation lies
In your love, my salvation lies
In your love, my salvation lies
In your love, my salvation lies
In your love, my salvation lies
In your love, my salvation lies
In your love, my salvation lies
In your love, in your love, in your love

    Well I had a dream
I stood beneath an orange sky
    Yes I had a dream
I stood beneath an orange sky
With my brother and my sister standing by
With my brother and my sister standing by
With my brother and my sister standing by

  • I know this is a old thread but Springsteens call my name is a great song
