Engagement Photos- How long before they're ready?

My fiance and I got our wedding photos taken on June 26th. We didn't discuss a timeline with our photog about how long they would take. We knew he was out of town, but he ended up being gone for 2 weeks. I sent him an email to see how long he thought it would take- no rush- since we didn't discuss it.He wrote back saying he just got back in town, but STILL didn't give me a guestimate. I don't wanna bother him again, because, I'm not in a rush. Just excited to get them back! lol. How long did it take to get yours back? He used digital.

I got married on July 11th and we had our blog post on July 16th I think. We had our complete gallery on July 17th. We had 790 images.

Does your contract specific a delivery date? Proofs can go on-line fairly quickly. But if he's doing a more complete edit it might take longer, maybe 4-6 weeks. Check your contract.

I had my engagement shoot photos taken over the weekend.. 7/18. The same day she sent me one teaser via email and she sent me a few more yesterday. She wanted to do a couple of postproduction edits before she sent it off. She's local so we're picking the CD up this Friday. So, in our case, turnaround time is less than a week.

Oh, I read this wrong.   Our engagement pictures were ready at about the same time as our wedding pictures though. DVD's were shipped out about two weeks after.
