Price of prints

FI and I won an engagement session at a bridal show with a photog whose work I loved, but her packages were way out of budget.

She does not give you prints, images on a cd, copy right releases, etc. Instead you order prints through her. Finally got to log in tonight and the prints are 29 each.

That is for a 5x7 smallest she offers. Is this a standard price? Just further goes to show that I can't afford her because her base package is 3k. And even that includes no prints, images on a cd, etc. And we only have 15 images online. From a two hour shoot?

Sorry for the rant... Did you pay for prints with your photog? And if so, how much?

That sounds pretty standard for a high end photographer. They are likely printing through a pro print house that produces archival prints and are spending additional time professionall retouching the images that are being printed. Both of these things factor into a higher priced final product.
