Photography Time?

How much time do you think is a good amount to book a photographer for? I'm looking at a package that is for 5 hours. Is that too little? Too much?

Re: Photography Time?

  • I wanted my photographer from the time I got dressed until the very end of the night so I booked mine for 8 hours.  Alot of girls have their photographer leave after cake cutting/bouquet toss, etc.  But since we had a formal exit, I wanted mine until the very end.  Just think about your timeline and what events you want photographed.
  • 5 hours is plenty if you are primarily concerned about ceremony and formal and couple shots...if youwant them to stick around for the reception, I would go with a bigger (longer) package

  • It would not be enough for me. I want the photographer there while I am getting ready for a few shots, shots before the ceremony (which starts at 4pm) with my bridal party (and FI with his groomsmen) and of all the ceremony, cocktail hour for a bit and pics before reception and all of the reception until 10pm.
